Mini Notes are notebooks and laptops that are half the size of traditional machines, but incredibly powerful and ultra-portable. They explode in popularity in four markets:
- Rural areas around the globe that are cut off from new sources of information such as updated textbooks and implement up-to-the-minute news to the devices in order to solve these problems.
- Many poor areas have not so much the problem described above, and also the problem of families can afford a completestand-alone computer.
- Consumers in the U.S., Japan and elsewhere often have computing needs that are much smaller than that which supplies a large and expensive computers. Groups such as children, stay at home parents and senior citizens can be something light, portable and easy to bargain. Mini-notes are perfect.
- Many families in wealthier countries realize that they need a computer, almost every family member. However, in order to save space and money, and for the ultimate in comfort, they buyone or two large models and the rest are mini-notebooks, or mini-notebooks.
What has happened in the last few years really make mini-laptops and mini-notebooks so popular is that manufacturers no longer shrink to get a lot of the functionality of a bigger model at a price and size that attracts consumers . In fact, most of the current Mini is taking the functionality of the full-performance notebooks and laptops of just a few years. They have aScreen much bigger than a cell phone or PDA, though slightly smaller than a laptop in full size.
The target price for 2010 many manufacturers have for Mini-Notes is under $ 100. They also hope to bring their weight under a pound (they are currently only about a pound and a half). Whether a consumer wants to access e-mail, watch video, listen to MP3s, surf the Internet, take pictures and videos or learn a virtual textbook, mini-notes are already revolutionary even before theymake that exciting future.
